What to bring
We supply the linen, a bath towel each and the kitchen basics. Here is what to pack for the rest.
- Your favourite pillow if you have one, and extra blankets if you feel the cold. We supply two pillows per person, a duvet and sheets.
- A beach umbrella, sun block and a rain umbrella.
- A two-pin plug for your phone charger.
- A hair dryer. We have one to borrow at reception if you need it, and an iron for guests: just ask.
- Beach and pool towels. We supply one bath towel per person; please don't take them to the pool or beach. Beach towels can be hired for R50 per guest per stay.
- Bottled water, if that is what you drink at home: better not to switch on holiday. There is a mineral water bottling plant about 3 km away where you can buy or refill, and reverse osmosis water at Spar.
- Your medication. If you forget, there is a very helpful little chemist in Hibberdene.
- Mosquito repellent.
Above all else, travel safely, and don't waste money on speeding tickets: watch out for the traffic cameras over the holiday season.
